ABOUT
Alisa Ochoa is an artist living and working in Brooklyn, New York. After several years of collecting old book clippings, junk mail advertisements, and found photographs, she has developed an independent, interchangeable archive of visual materials. Images culled from her archive are woven together in prints, collages, and animated videos. She seeks an aesthetic strategy that is based on hybridity and reconcilation of diverse viewpoints. By combining fragmented elements in a sprawling patchwork of mythology, popular culture, desire, and memory she hopes to open the sky of possibilities.
