Alisa Ochoa (she/her) is an artist, educator, and advocate currently based in Southern California, the unceded and ancestral lands of the Acjachemen Nation and the Tongva People. Her multifaceted practice spans ceramics, painting, and video, with meticulously crafted objects embodying themes of time, memory, and resilience. Ochoa's art has been exhibited nationally and internationally at venues such as Berkeley’s Kala Art Institute, Malmo’s Galleri CC, and the International Print Center of New York. Her work has been featured in publications such as the Los Angeles Times, Juxtapoz Magazine, and Glasstire. She is a member of the artist-run collective TSALA and an art commissioner for the City of Costa Mesa. Ochoa was recently awarded the Leighton Artist Studio Residency at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity in Alberta, Canada.
